Oh how times have changed
Priorities re-arranged
All kinds of pollution to the fore
Wow I miss the peace & quiet of yore!
Autumn was for the gardener a time to toil
Till the soil
Rake the leaves
Relieve the full gutters & eaves
Now it’s done by engine and oil
The build up of leaves to foil
The leave blower enters the fray
Does the job without delay
Sadly the result may by quick
The handy machine doing the trick
However I think we’d all prefer the original solution
Peace & quiet with no noise & air pollution!
